Our colleagues Johannes Schlusche (SP3), Julian Jauk (SP9), Viktoria Sandor (SP3), Mathias Bank (SP3), Hana Vasatko (SP9) and Felix Dokonal (IAM, TU Graz) hosted the "Point to Print" workshop at the University of Stuttgart during the AdvanceAEC Autumn School 2022.

Shervin Rasoulzadeh had the honour to be given the “Best Poster Award 2nd Place” during the Advance AEC Autumn School 2022 PhD Poster Session and Presentation hosted by the Cluster of Excellence IntCDC | University of Stuttgart.

We've presented selected topics from our SFB project at this year's GCD symposium on Fri, Sept. 9th, 2022.

Recorded talks are available online: https://gcd.tuwien.ac.at/?p=2996.

SFB F77 "acd, Advanced Computational Design"

In this AAEC network member symposium we will present an overview of our project, and discuss our recent work and ideas for future research.

May 23rd, 2022, 4pm - 6pm (UTC+2).

Please visit advanceaec.net for program and details.

The collaborative workshop "Point Pixel Print" (May 2nd-6th, 2022) focused on 3d point clouds in architectural design processes, design methods with point clouds, and their physical materialization via clay 3d printing.

The workshop was hosted at the Institute of Architecture and Media, TU Graz, by our colleagues Viktoria Sandor, Mathias Bank-Stigsen, Julian Jauk, and Johannes Schlusche, representing our subprojects "Computational Immediacy" and "Material- and Structurally Informed Freeform Structures".

Our colleagues Milena Stavric, Hana Vasatko, Julian Jauk and Lukas Gosch organized a workshop on "Alginate and Natural Fibers" in cooperation with Prof. Irena Živković, University of Arts in Belgrade. Work by the 25 participating students in the fields of restauration, material science, and industrial design is on display in an exhibition on Synergy of Alginate and Natural Fibers.

Feb. 26th - March 4th, 2022, Belgrade Museum of Science and Technology.

CLOUDER is a concept modeling tool. It uses 3D capturing tools, scanning devices, and machine learning in order to provide opportunities to re-integrate physical design processes into digital design workflows. The potential of CLOUDER can be tested live at the Potenziale 3 exhibition in the spaces of the Tyrolian Architecture Center aut in Innsbruck.

"ALG-A Algae Architecture" is now part of the permanent exhibition at Ars Electronica Center in Linz. Alginate, in comparison to already commercially used microalgae, has a yet undiscovered potential in architecture. It is the structure-giving element of brown algae and part of their cell walls.

"MyCera" developped by Julian Jauk, Hana Vašatko, Lukas Gosch, Milena Stavric at the Institute of Architecture and Media, Graz University of Technology can be seen as part of the permanent exhibition at Ars Electronica Center in Linz. It had already been included in the MaterialLab presentation.

Julian Jauk contributed to the realization of an art project by Christoph Weber, currently on exhibit at Viennabiennale for Change 2021. Jauk provided a 3D scan of the original object, balanced the ingredients of the printing material - recycled paper, clay and limestone - and finally printed the object, which can be seen on the photo and at MAK Vienna until Ocotber 3rd.
